I believe that to achieve my Vision, the following changes must be made in the state education system:

• Concentrate on a student-centered education system that responds to student needs, not the administrative bureaucracy

• Ensure that each child has the opportunity to attend the school or educational option that best meets his/her needs including charter schools, e-schools and home schooling

• School funding must be overhauled to hold individual schools accountable with funding that follows the child not the school

• Install a disciplined fiscal program to ensure responsibility and accountability for the multi-billion dollar Ohio state education budget
